Building confidence and creativity through music one note at a time
Jordan Hawkins
Guitar, Bass, and Ukulele
Hi! I'm Jordan, a passionate music teacher with over 20 years of playing experience and 10 years of teaching across all ages and skill levels—from kindergarteners to adults, complete beginners to advanced players.

I started my musical journey with guitar and clarinet in primary school and later earned my bachelor’s degree from UC Davis. Over the years, I’ve performed both nationally and internationally in a wide variety of groups—jazz big bands, rock bands, country quartets, and even my own blues cover band.

As a teacher, I focus on helping students become well-rounded, confident musicians in a fun and welcoming environment. I’ve taught in many styles—jazz, rock, blues, country, metal, pop, and K-pop—and I tailor every lesson to match the student’s goals and interests.

Whether you’re just picking up an instrument or ready to take your playing to the next level, my goal is to help you love making music and express yourself fully through this art form.
How I Teach
At the heart of my teaching is the belief that music is a powerful tool for self-expression, creativity, and confidence. I tailor each lesson to fit the individual, meeting students where they are and guiding them toward where they want to go.

My lessons are structured but flexible, grounded in solid technique while always keeping joy at the center. Students will learn how to read music, understand music theory, and explore a variety of musical styles. Whether we’re working on chords, solos, or songwriting, I want every student to not only grow as a player but to discover their unique musical voice along the way.
